Kaela's Angel - D2D Challenge - November 11, 2010

I really like the digi stamp from Designed 2 Delight this week.  I had a couple of ideas of what I wanted to do, but it has been a crazy week, so time was short so I made the card simple.  I incorporated glitter into the halo, wings, collar, cuffs and wording.  I colored the digi stamp with copic markers.

I am submitting this in the Designed 2 Delight Challenge and the Double Delight with D2D Challenge

Materials used:
Green card stock - DCW Indian Summer Stack from JoAnn's
Blue corners - DCW Holiday Stack from JoAnn's
Stickles - Crystal and Star Dust from JoAnn's
Glitter Rub-on Letters - 231 Legacy Gold from Hobby Lobby
Copic Markers - from JoAnn's

Harvest Basket - D2D Challenge Nov. 4, 2010

Thanks again to Designed 2 Delight for providing the Free digi stamp.  I wanted my card to have more than the harvest basket so I added a corn stalks digi stamp and the word embellishment.  As I was making the card and it was coming together, it started to remind me of when I was growing up on a dairy farm and we would finish with the harvesting of grains and the garden vegetables.  There were years that the harvest was so bountiful that we couldn't give away the extras.  Fall is such a beautiful time in the Great Lakes area.  Living in Texas I miss the changing of the leaf colors, don't get me wrong, we do have trees that change but not in the masses as up north.

I am also submitting the card for the Double Delight Challenge with D2D

Material Used
Yellow Card Stock - Bazzille Papers from Hobby Lobby
Burnt Red paper - Open stock from Michael's
Nenah White Card Stock from Scrappers Boutique in North Richland Hills, Tx
Copic Markers from JoAnn's online store
Give Thanks embellishment - Harvest Crafts from Hobby Lobby

Laughing Giraffes - D2D Challenge Oct 29, 2010

Thank you once again to Designed2Delight for the free digi stamp.

I made this card for my grandson's birthday.  He will be 1 year old in December.
His laugh is so infectious that you just can't help but smile.
My grandson is a very textile child - he explores everything by touch, so the spots on the giraffes are covered with a clear embossing powder that I did not heat completely so the texture is sort of rough rather than smooth.
The giraffes heads are raised for dimension with foam squares.
The coloring was done with Copic Markers.
I am learning more about the markers each time I use them.
The accent on the dark green is Lime Green Stickles.
The saying I took from stock on the wall in my craft room (which use to be my daughter's bedroom)

I am submitting this card for the weekly Designed2 Delight Challenge and the Double Delight Challenge by Designed2Delight.

Clear Embossing Powder - A la Mode - JoAnn's
